Survival

I am only human.
The phrase plays itself over and
over in my mind.

The California heat is intense this week.
My back aches.
I’ve missed you.

Should there ever have been
a question
whether I wanted this or not?

I’ve never been unbreakable
But I’ve been determined.
I will not give up on myself this time.

The sun sets.
This too will pass,
And I will be able to breathe again.

Love you so very much. Thank you for being vulnerable, for showing us we will be ok. Xxx
